The majority of serial numbers are located under the bottom bracket where the two pedal cranks meet. It may be necessary to turn the bike upside down. If there is no serial number there, it might be in places like the headset at the front of the bike or the rear stays.

I understand that bicycle parking in the IMF HQ garages involves no fees and I am authorized to begin bicycle parking immediately provided that I meet current building access requirements. I understand that registration of my bike is voluntary and solely to provide the Parking Office with contact information in the unlikely event a question is raised about my bike on Fund premises; however, this registration does not imply that the Fund or the Parking Office are liable for a lost or damaged bicycle. I further understand that this self-reported registration does not establish proof of my ownership of the aforementioned bike unless I have used the voluntary option above to provide proof-of-purchase documentation which includes the corresponding serial number.
